In 2003, we attented the 4th District Meeting of Raceway Ministries in Bowling Green, Ky We were invited to hear Rev. Steve Ayers. It was interesting to learn that most Christians will be lucky to reach 1000 people in which they have shared their witness. Rev. Steve challenged us to do more to reach people with the message of Life in Jesus Christ.
Here's my challenge to you. It is my desire to reach 1,000,000 people with a simple message : SMILE, GOD LOVES YOU.
We, at Raceway Ministries-Owensboro, a weekly racing venue, since our founding in 2000, have not had funding to provide for the ministries' needs. So, we are asking others to commit to giving one dollar and commiting to reaching one other person with this message and commit one dollar.
By doing this in conection with my goal of reaching a million people for Christ we can and will have monies to fund Raceway Ministries - Owensboro and to help other Raceway Ministries across our nation as well as around the world.
As more people are reached and commited to helping this worthy goal, monies will be used to possibly build a Christian Nascar team out of the city of Owensboro. I know that it is time to stand up for Christ. Every week-end during race season we see the Budweiser ,Viagra, cell phones , and a lot of other things advertised. Why do we not see a Christian team, one that lives their witness every day. The time has come to stand up and be like a David, Jonah, John the Baptist, and best of all, Jesus Christ. It is time to get off the pew and pay the dues. Each and everyone of us as Christians will be held accountable with what we have done to serve others in Christ's name.
